Jasmine opens it, light and a bit green, the way jasmine smells in a garden before the day gets warm. Citrus keeps it from turning heavy. Under that there is wood and musk, so it sits in the room instead of drifting off. White flowers show up in the middle. Best in spring, and in rooms where you want something soft rather than sweet.

The composition is not written down anywhere, and I am not going to invent notes for it. What you get is warm, a little sweet, a little dark. It does not shout, it sits close and you notice it when you come back into the room. Good for evenings, and better in a small room than a big one.

Apple Cinnamon Cider
Red apple and cinnamon, the kind of smell a kitchen gets in October. There is cider in it and a bit of caramel at the back, so it goes sweet instead of sharp. The spice is the loudest part. It sells fastest when the weather turns cold.

Black currant and grape first, both of them dark and juicy, closer to grape juice than to fresh fruit. Cedar sits under it and keeps the sweetness in check. It reads more like wine than candy. Fine for a kitchen or a hallway, less so for a bedroom.

Black currant with vanilla poured over it, and the currant is still the boss. Musk comes in at the end and softens the whole thing. It can get a bit much in a small room, so keep the burn short. Good for winter evenings.

Dark pomegranate, the juice kind rather than the fruit kind. Deep and a little wine-like, with an edge of something bitter that keeps it from being simple. It throws scent far. When I make it, the wax is almost black.

Fresh and salty, like air off the sea on a windy day. It is not a warm scent at all. Best in a bathroom or a hallway in summer, and it disappears fast, so do not expect it to last all evening.

Sweet bubblegum, plain and simple, like the pink squares you got as a kid. The resin note underneath makes it a little chewy instead of just sugary. Not a serious candle, and it is not meant to be. Nice in a small bathroom or a kid's room.
