Jasmine opens it, light and a bit green, the way jasmine smells in a garden before the day gets warm. Citrus keeps it from turning heavy. Under that there is wood and musk, so it sits in the room instead of drifting off. White flowers show up in the middle. Best in spring, and in rooms where you want something soft rather than sweet.

Rose with something fizzy over the top of it, which keeps the flower from feeling old-fashioned. Soft musk at the base. It feels like getting dressed for something, even if you are staying home. Better in a bedroom than a living room.

Cherry Blossom
Soft cherry blossom with a powdery drydown, like the inside of an old wooden drawer. Very light, so it works best in a small space. Spring scent, and it does not last long after you put it out.

Jasmine on its own, and it is a big flower. White flowers fill out the middle and musk keeps it from being too much. In a small room it can get strong, so burn it for an hour and let it rest. Spring and summer evenings.

Jasmine with soft musk and nothing else in the way. This is the stronger jasmine of the two, more flower, less air. It does not smell clean, it smells alive. For evenings, and only if you actually like jasmine.

Jasmine and hyacinth together, which makes it greener and fresher than jasmine alone. White musk at the base. It smells like a flower shop early in the morning. Good for spring, good in a hallway.

Lilac, powdery and a bit old-fashioned, in a good way. It smells like a garden in May, and it stays soft the whole time. It does not last long after you put it out. Nice in a bedroom or a bathroom.

Rose with rhubarb, which makes it tart instead of perfumed. The rhubarb is what people notice first, then the rose comes up. Soft musk at the base. It is a grown-up rose, not a grandmother rose.
